Of Note: 

  • Physical Therapy Doctoral Student, Grand Valley State University
  • Ran a PR of 4:20.15 on a broken toe to qualify for state meet as a high school junior
  • Barely squeaked into DII nationals at 10,000m during 5th year of eligibility because of heavy class and workload that hurt his season, then in the race suddenly realized he was in 4th place. Ran his heart out to make podium and learned a lesson: No matter what yesterday was like, do your best today
  • Grew up watching his father run road races. During senior year of college, father (who had lived vicariously through Christopher's running) lost his 7-year battle with multiple myeloma, so for as long as Christopher continues running he knows he'll maintain a connection to his dad
