- Studying for certificate as a Health Coach with Institute of Integrative Nutrition and after graduation plans to pursue M.S. in Nutrition
- Lost her older sister in a car accident in 2004; is motivated by thought of making sister proud of her and bringing joy to her family through her running
- Fiance, Brandon Birdsong, proposed to her just after he finished the 2016 Trials, and helped her qualify for the 2020 Trials in her debut at the distance
- Birdsong was seriously injured when hit by a truck while cycling in 2017, causing the couple to reevaluate their lives, choosing to live in a van, traveling and training
- Tied for the win at 2019 Northeast Delta Dental Mt. Washington Road Race with Heidi Caldwell, who is also running the Trials; they finished hand-in-hand
